Creative Armenia and the Boghossian Foundation announce the 2020 East-West Residency for exceptional artists from Armenia. Three selected artists will spend one month creating and collaborating at the Boghossian Foundation’s Villa Empain, an art-deco architectural landmark in the heart of Europe.

“Welcoming Armenian artists at the Villa Empain's residency is crucial for us,” said Louma Salamé, General director of the Boghossian Foundation. “It reflects the mission of the Foundation, which is to create a dialogue between Eastern and Western cultures through the universal language of art.”

The 2019 East-West Residents were art director and calligrapher Ruben Malayan and art historian and curator Vigen Galstyan.

“As our 2019 residents return from Brussels with new visions and opportunities,” said Creative Armenia founding director Garin Hovannisian, “we look forward to discovering and encouraging new artists.”

The 2020 East-West Residency is open to artists who have demonstrated excellence in their art fields and are residents of Armenia. Learn more and apply by October 15 at creativearmenia.org/residency
