Creative Armenia and the Boghossian Foundation are excited to unveil the 2023 edition of the East-West Residency, a one-month creative residency at the Villa Empain in Brussels. 

 

In the summer and autumn of 2023, three artists from Armenia will be selected to travel to Belgium to stay at the Villa Empain to fully focus on their creative production, connect and develop lasting European collaborators, and return to pursue new creative projects. The program covers all expenses of travel and accommodation and provides an artist stipend. 

 

The applications for the 2023 East-West Residency are now open. All artists and creators residing in Armenia can learn more about the program and apply by May 25, 2023. 

 

Already in its fifth year, East-West Residency has given numerous Armenian artists an opportunity to bring their creative projects to life and connect with leading European artists, art managers, and curators. 

 

The East-West Residency is a collaboration of Creative Armenia and the Boghossian Foundation, which entered into a partnership in 2018. Creative Armenia is a global arts foundation for the Armenian people that discovers, develops, and champions innovative talents across the arts. The Boghossian Foundation was created in 1992 by Robert Boghossian and his two sons, Jean and Albert, jewelers of Armenian origin, with the primary objective of contributing to development and education.
